President Chester Alan Arthur signed Postal Appointment for Henry Shreve to be Postmaster of Easton, Maryland, Dated the 31st day of December 1881  (New Years Eve)


 
One term President Chester A. Arthur signed document appointing Willis Edwards Baker of Illinois to be the American Consul in Rosario in the Argentine Republic, dated March 24th, 1884. This is before it is called Argentina

Above is the penciled "Signature" Of The Great Apache Leader, Geronimo. Geronimo, Apache for "One who Yawns", was never a chief, but considered a "Spiritual Entity" by his followers. A medicine man, by white man standards, Geronimo surrendered in 1886 to the military and lived out the remainder of his life in semi-captivity. (click photo for more information)
Geronimo's skull is said to rest in a secret alcove with the Skull and Bones Society of Yale University. According to a law suit filed by Geronimo's family, Prescott Bush, George W. Bush's Granfather, stole Geronimo's remains in 1918 while he was serving in the Army at Fort Sill Oklahoma.

President Grover Cleveland, the only President to serve two non-consecutive terms in the White House, hand-written letter to Mrs. Riding at the Players Hotel in New york City:  "Dear Mrs. Riding, The match box has not been found in our house. If it has crawled away to some hidden burrow and is hereafter discovered,  I will propmtly send it to you. Yours Truly, Grover Cleveland" ,  Dated  Princeton, January 26th, 1907. President Cleveland would die the next year.

Lizzie Borden
Before there was  O.J.Simpson and the Dream Team, there was Lizzie Borden and her "Dream Team". On the far right is a letter written and signed by Lizzie Borden's lead defense attorney, Governor George Dexter Robinson. Robinson was responsible for Lizzie Borden's aquital in the 1892 "Trial of the Century", pitting the State of Massachusetts against Lizzie Borden for the the brutal Axe murders of her Father and Step mother. Although aquitted, Lizzie is widely believed to have gotten away with murder.

President Benjamin Harrison signed  Military Commission,  Promoting Leven C. Alen to the rank of Captain of the infantry, Dated March 7th, 1891. President Harrison was both the Great Grandson of one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and the Grandson of  President William Henry Harrison
