Glass eye lost in a game of five card stud to Bat Masterson on board President Teddy Roosevelt's private rail car in early November 1902. The unlucky card player from Chicago was plucked from the passenger car on route to the Mississippi Delta. It was on this trip that several days later Teddy Roosevelt would refuse to shoot an old and wounded bear, thus giving rise to "Teddy's Bear" depicted later that month in a political cartoon published in the Washington Star.

A pair of Harry Houdini's "Magic" Handcuffs that were given to Teddy Roosevelt's Grandson, Teddy III in early March 1925. Eleven years earlier, in June 1914, Harry & Bess Houdini were celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary on board the S.S. Imperator when they were introduced to fellow passenger, former President Teddy Roosevelt. Teddy was so impressed with Houdini that he stayed in touch with him until his death in 1919. Several years later, Harry was invited by the late President's family to meet his grandchildren. Harry put on quite a show that afternoon, dazzling the children with his ability to fool the eye, including a fake seance and escaping from a pair of handcuffs that he would later give to young Teddy III. Harry Houdini would die 19 months later on October, 31, 1926 "Halloween"

William Howard Taft signed photo with a group of his friends on the back steps of the White House (unfortunately, he was no longer President; he left office in March of 1913, due mainly to Teddy Roosevelt running against him as a third party candidate on the Bullmoose Ticket). Between Taft & Roosevelt they would split the Republican vote and allow the democrat, Woodrow Wilson to "sneak" into the Presidency. Taft would go on to become Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, 1921-1930.
