President Woodrow Wilson signed Postal Appointment, naming George W. Niece Postmaster of Leyden, New York. Dated the 3rd day of February, 1916....exactly 8 years, to the day, before his death in 1924

     Edith Bolling Wilson signed letter to Major General A.E.Greely regarding a reference to her in his up-coming biography. General Greely, the first enlisted Private to be promoted to General, was a Founder of the National Geographic Society and opened  the First Free Public Library in Washington D.C.
     Meanwhile, Edith Bolling Wilson..."The First Woman President" ...became the eyes and ears....and signature of her husband, President Woodrow Wilson.  On September 26th, 1919, while traveling through  Pueblo, Colorado, Woodrow Wilson suffered a life changing  stroke....from which he never recovered. From that moment on, Edith Wilson became the sole source of information, both in...and out...of the White House!

General John J. "Black Jack" Pershing
General of the Army, John J. "Black Jack" Pershing signed 1st Edition "Le General Pershing" to Dr. and Mary Roberts Rinehart.  Mary Rinehart, "The American Agatha Christie" was one of the most famous Mystery writers of the early Twentieth Century. She was also the inspiration for the fictional character Jessica Fletcher in the television series "Murder She Wrote".

General Pershing  led the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe During World War I....And along with  George Washington, belong to a very select group that attained the rank of  "General of The Army"

1st Woman War Correspondent on the Belgium Front during world War l. Mrs. Rinehart
published more than 25 Murder Mysteries and hundreds of Short stories during her

Secretary of State William Jennings Bryan signed letter to the Minister of Peru inviting him to appoint a three member delegation to attend a meeting of American Republics in Washington to discuss financial cooperation throughout the Western Hemisphere. Bryan, a three-time Presidential Candidate, is best known for his courtroom theatrics during the Scopes "Monkey Trial".  The Scopes Trial was later re-created in the movie: "Inherit the Wind".


 
World War I,  Brass-handled, Bowie Trench Knife. These knifes were excellent in up close, hand-to-hand fighting. A "Doughboy"  could either hack up his enemy  with  the blade...or knock him out with the  solid brass hilt.
